Note 70: She Showed Up Anyway (Season Finale)

Season 1 is officially a wrap. Seventy notes. Seventy moments of choosing yourself.

In this finale, Yaya sends off every woman who kept showing up, imperfectly, scared, unsure and did it anyway. This isn't a recap. It's a send-off, a celebration, and a challenge to carry the momentum of this season into everything that comes next. Season 2 is coming, and it's going to be bigger. Don't miss it.

Inside this episode:

• What Season 1 of Notes to Her was really about underneath all the topics

• A love letter to the woman who kept showing up even when she wasn't sure it was working

• A walkthrough of the season: what we covered and why it all connects

• The real cost of not showing up and what consistent imperfect action actually builds

• A Season 2 tease and why now is the time to decide, not wait

• A direct invitation into The Confidently Her Method for the woman who's ready to go deeper

Share this one. Tag a woman who showed up for herself this season, imperfectly, consistently, anyway. She deserves the send-off too.

Speaker A:

Hey, girl.

Speaker A:

Hey.

Speaker A:

Welcome back to Notes to her, the daily pep talk.

Speaker A:

I'm Yaya, your confidence and mindset coach.

Speaker A:

And today we are closing out season one, season one.

Speaker A:

70 Notes.

Speaker A:

70 Times this podcast showed up for you.

Speaker A:

And more importantly, 70 chances for you to show up for yourself.

Speaker A:

This finale is not a recap.

Speaker A:

This is a send off.

Speaker A:

Not for a long time, just a little time.

Speaker A:

But this is for every woman who kept listening when she wasn't sure anything was changing.

Speaker A:

Who kept showing up even when she was scared, unsure, and honestly, a little tired.

Speaker A:

This one's for her.

Speaker A:

This one's for you.

Speaker A:

Let me tell you what season one of Notes to her was actually about.

Speaker A:

On the surface, we talked about a lot of things.

Speaker A:

Self, love, boundaries, visibility, comparison, perfectionism, people pleasing, imposter syndrome, nervous system regulation, self trust standards, resilience.

Speaker A:

But underneath it all, every single note this season was about one thing.

Speaker A:

Who are you becoming?

Speaker A:

Not who you are.

Speaker A:

Not who other people think you are.

Speaker A:

Not who you're performing for the sake of keeping peace or fitting into a room that was never designed for you.

Speaker A:

Who are you becoming?

Speaker A:

That's the thread.

Speaker A:

That was always the thread.

Speaker A:

Because confidence isn't a personality trait.

Speaker A:

It's not something that either you have or you don't.

Speaker A:

Confidence is a decision that you make about who you are going to be over and over, especially in the moments when it's hard.

Speaker A:

And this whole season, that's what we've been building, note by note, decision by decision.

Speaker A:

I want to talk to you about her, the woman who showed up anyway.

Speaker A:

She's not the woman who had it all figured out in the beginning.

Speaker A:

She didn't start season one with her confidence fully intact, her vision crystal clear.

Speaker A:

She started by questioning herself, maybe carrying something that felt heavy, maybe tired of shrinking, but not quite sure how to stop.

Speaker A:

Maybe comparing herself to someone else's highlight reel and losing every time.

Speaker A:

Sound familiar?

Speaker A:

But she kept listening.

Speaker A:

She kept showing up.

Speaker A:

Even on the days when a note hit a little too close.

Speaker A:

Even on the days when she thought, I'll start fresh next week.

Speaker A:

Even on the days when she wasn't sure what was actually shifting.

Speaker A:

She showed up anyway.

Speaker A:

And that's not a small thing.

Speaker A:

That's everything.

Speaker A:

Because the gap between the woman you are and the woman you're becoming is not filled with perfect decisions.

Speaker A:

It's not filled with flawless execution or waiting until you feel completely ready.

Speaker A:

It's filled with moments you choose to keep going even when you don't have to.

Speaker A:

When it would have been easier to Quit to coast or to stay comfortable.

Speaker A:

And you didn't.

Speaker A:

That's who she is.

Speaker A:

That's who you are.

Speaker A:

Let me take a second to honor what this season actually covered.

Speaker A:

So we started in January talking about releasing pressure, letting go of the idea that you have to get out of the gate.

Speaker A:

Perfect to start a year.

Speaker A:

That note really mattered because so many women disqualify themselves before they even began.

Speaker A:

From there we covered visibility and courage and what it actually looks like to shrink in meetings and relationships, on social media and in your head and listen.

Speaker A:

Hiding behind perfection, that was just fear in a really good disguise.

Speaker A:

And we caught that out too.

Speaker A:

Then in February, we went deep on self love.

Speaker A:

Not the bubble bath and face mask version, I love that.

Speaker A:

But the real version.

Speaker A:

Liking yourself, telling the truth to yourself.

Speaker A:

Stopping the habit of punishing yourself for things you did not know.

Speaker A:

We even did a little yapping about people pleasing and how showing up as less than yourself to keep others comfortable is not kindness, it's self abandonment.

Speaker A:

And it's one of the fastest ways to lose the threat of who you actually are.

Speaker A:

Standards.

Speaker A:

We discussed those too.

Speaker A:

Not just in relationships, but in your self talk, your work, your environment.

Speaker A:

You cannot become her with low standards.

Speaker A:

That note had people in their feelings for a reason.

Speaker A:

Remember when we got into the hard conversations, the ones that you keep avoiding, especially the ones with yourself, about what you're tolerating, what you're settling for and what you keep saying you'll deal with later?

Speaker A:

Yeah, that one.

Speaker A:

And your comfort zone.

Speaker A:

Remember?

Speaker A:

It doesn't feel like a cage.

Speaker A:

It feels like safety.

Speaker A:

It feels familiar, warm.

Speaker A:

Like the responsible thing to stay in.

Speaker A:

That's exactly what makes it so dangerous.

Speaker A:

We talked about that.

Speaker A:

And just the last note.

Speaker A:

We honor resilience.

Speaker A:

Everything that you have already walked through, the fact that you survived, every hard thing you have ever faced, that's your evidence.

Speaker A:

Not theory.

Speaker A:

That is evidence.

Speaker A:

70 Notes, all of them pointing at the same woman.

Speaker A:

You.

Speaker A:

Now, here's something most people are afraid to say.

Speaker A:

But you know I'm not.

Speaker A:

There is a cost to not showing up.

Speaker A:

Most people don't talk about it because the cost doesn't always show up as a big loss.

Speaker A:

It shows up as a slow fade.

Speaker A:

It's the dream you keep talking about, but you never start.

Speaker A:

It's the woman you keep saying you're going to become next month, next year once things start settling down.

Speaker A:

It's the confidence you keep waiting to feel big before you take the leap.

Speaker A:

The permission you keep looking for someone to give.

Speaker A:

The version of Yourself, who's been promising yourself you'll grow into.

Speaker A:

Waiting is a decision and it is costing you something real.

Speaker A:

But here's the flip side, and this is what I want you to carry out of this season.

Speaker A:

Showing up has a compound effect.

Speaker A:

Every note you listen to, every truth you sat with, every time you chose to stay in a room, instead of shrinking, that accumulated inside of you.

Speaker A:

Even if you can't see it yet, the woman who shows up imperfectly, consistently is always going to outgrow the woman who waits for perfection.

Speaker A:

You showed up, and that means you are already ahead of where you were.

Speaker A:

So I want to share something with you.

Speaker A:

Something big is coming that I'm really excited about.

Speaker A:

Season 2 of Notes to Her is going to meet the woman you've been becoming this season.

Speaker A:

It's going to go deeper, it's going to get harder, and it's going to expand in ways that I am so excited to share with you.

Speaker A:

And when it drops, you're going to want to be exactly where you are in this community, in this space, ready to move.

Speaker A:

So make sure you're subscribed, make sure your friends are subscribed, because you're not gonna wanna miss what's next.

Speaker A:

And in the meantime, this is not the time to coast.

Speaker A:

This is the time to decide if this season stirred something in you.

Speaker A:

If you've been listening, nodding and thinking, okay, I know I need to do something.

Speaker A:

This is me looking you in the eye and saying, now is the time.

Speaker A:

The confidently her method is my signature one on one program.

Speaker A:

It's 16 weeks to just me and you.

Speaker A:

And we go into the work that this podcast introduced.

Speaker A:

We actually transform your mindset, your confidence, your standards, your life.

Speaker A:

So if you are ready to stop, circle it and actually land, the link is in the show.

Speaker A:

Notes.

Speaker A:

Let's build season two of youf Life while we wait on season two of this podcast.

Speaker A:

So this wraps season one of notes to her.

Speaker A:

I'm clapping 70 notes.

Speaker A:

70 Notes of choosing yourself.

Speaker A:

And and I am so proud of this show.

Speaker A:

And more than that, I am so proud of you for showing up and listening to it.

Speaker A:

You came into the season as one version of yourself and I hope that you were leaving as a woman who has been seen challenged, stretched and equipped.

Speaker A:

So go live like it, go lead like it, go build like it.

Speaker A:

The woman who showed up anyway, she wins.

Speaker A:

And that woman is you.

Speaker A:

And I hope you stay in touch for any of the surprises that might come in the future.

Speaker A:

And I will see you in season two.

Speaker A:

With love always.

Speaker A:

Yaya.
