Speaker A:

Hey, girl.

Speaker A:

Hey.

Speaker A:

Welcome back to notes to her, the daily pep talk.

Speaker A:

I'm Yaya your confidence and mindset coach, here to remind you that even in the seasons where you feel like you're losing you, you're actually being positioned.

Speaker A:

I know these end of the year months can feel heavy.

Speaker A:

Everyone's doing the where am I in life?

Speaker A:

Review comparisons start creeping in.

Speaker A:

The I thought I'd be further by now thought get really loud.

Speaker A:

But today's note, I'm here to shift your entire perspective.

Speaker A:

Have you ever been in a season where it feels like nothing is moving?

Speaker A:

Where you're doing everything right and life is like, cute?

Speaker A:

But no, you're praying nothing.

Speaker A:

You're applying nothing.

Speaker A:

You're trying to stay positive, barely.

Speaker A:

And it feels like life has you on pause while everyone else is on fast forward.

Speaker A:

I know that season, and I know the panic that comes with it.

Speaker A:

But the seasons that feel like setback are usually the ones that are setting you up the most.

Speaker A:

Not because you're failing, but because you're finally being prepared.

Speaker A:

Let me keep it real with you for a second.

Speaker A:

Right now, I'm not working a traditional job.

Speaker A:

I'm building my business from the ground up.

Speaker A:

Brick by brick, client by client, day by day.

Speaker A:

And listen, I love luxury.

Speaker A:

I love a brunch.

Speaker A:

I love a cute outfit, a new bag, expensive, especially designer one.

Speaker A:

A little add to the cart moment, okay?

Speaker A:

But this season, this season requires a different version of me.

Speaker A:

I had to pause the shopping.

Speaker A:

I had to really learn the difference between wanting something and needing something.

Speaker A:

And I had to stop trying to keep up with my old lifestyle and figure out how to be content with where I am now.

Speaker A:

And, girl, let me tell you something I did not expect.

Speaker A:

When you stop distracting yourself with more, you start noticing what you already have.

Speaker A:

I started shopping in my closet.

Speaker A:

I found outfits that I forgot about, tags still on, shoes I barely wore, accessories still in the packaging.

Speaker A:

Makeup I hadn't even opened.

Speaker A:

Some still sitting in the Sephora bag.

Speaker A:

Like, if you could see me right now, I'm putting my face in my palm, sis.

Speaker A:

I was not lacking.

Speaker A:

I was overlooking.

Speaker A:

And it made me realize something.

Speaker A:

Sometimes we think life is denying us when really it's redirecting our energy.

Speaker A:

I kept saying I don't have, but the truth was I had plenty.

Speaker A:

I just wasn't present enough to see it.

Speaker A:

This season didn't come to punish me, but it came to really teach me discipline, gratitude, focus, and intention.

Speaker A:

It came to develop me into a woman that could handle the level that I am.

Speaker A:

Asking for.

Speaker A:

That's what I mean by setup.

Speaker A:

Now let's be honest.

Speaker A:

We all hate the slowed seasons.

Speaker A:

We hate pause seasons.

Speaker A:

We hate wait seasons.

Speaker A:

But here's something else that I've learned.

Speaker A:

God removes distractions before he delivers blessings.

Speaker A:

Sometimes the quiet season you're in is the one that protects you.

Speaker A:

Sometimes the slow season is the one that builds you.

Speaker A:

Sometimes the uncomfortable season is the one that grows your character.

Speaker A:

And sometimes the season where you feel like you've lost is the one where you finally learn that you are not defined by things, status or external validation.

Speaker A:

That could be hard to stay consistent when your life doesn't look like your expectations.

Speaker A:

But here's how to start.

Speaker A:

First, stop comparing your current chapter to your old lifestyle.

Speaker A:

This one can be difficult.

Speaker A:

I'm not even gonna lie to you.

Speaker A:

Especially when you are looking at your friends around you and their lives seem to be flourishing.

Speaker A:

But you're not who you used to be.

Speaker A:

You're in a rebuilding error.

Speaker A:

So honor that.

Speaker A:

Then be present with what you do have now.

Speaker A:

When you stop chasing more, you realize how much you already have.

Speaker A:

That clarity feels like peace.

Speaker A:

Then ask yourself, what is this season teaching me?

Speaker A:

Not punishing, not blocking, not delaying teaching.

Speaker A:

You'll be shocked by how many answers you get when you ask better questions.

Speaker A:

And then lastly, stop waiting to feel successful, to act like it.

Speaker A:

Confidence is an action, not an accomplishment.

Speaker A:

You don't get stable confidence from winning.

Speaker A:

You get it from consistency, discipline, showing up even when you don't feel like the best version of you.

Speaker A:

So I need you to hear me when I say this.

Speaker A:

You are not behind.

Speaker A:

You are not failing.

Speaker A:

You are not forgotten.

Speaker A:

You are not late.

Speaker A:

You are not less than.

Speaker A:

You are not stuck.

Speaker A:

You are in a season that is shaping you.

Speaker A:

This is your character season, your stretching season.

Speaker A:

Your grounding season.

Speaker A:

And one day you're going to look back and realize this wasn't a setup.

Speaker A:

This is where everything started.

Speaker A:

So the next time you feel like you're losing, remind yourself my season is not a setback, it is a setup.

Speaker A:

And if you're tired of navigating those seasons alone, if you are ready to feel aligned, have confidence, boundaries, clarity and identity, work that actually sticks, then I truly encourage you to apply for my one to one coaching program Journey to Confidence.

Speaker A:

This is where I help women rebuild from the inside out.

Speaker A:

Your next level isn't waiting for someday.

Speaker A:

It starts with how you think today.
